Presenters: 

Ran Carter is Regional Director, West Region at Export Development Canada (EDC), where she leads mid-market business development, market strategy, and EDC’s presence in BC. She previously served as EDC’s Chief Representative for Greater China and held senior roles supporting the Indo‑Pacific region and EDC’s Corporate Strategy. Ran holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Queen’s University. She serves on the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Economic Development and Fiscal Committee and sits on the boards of Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and the Canadian International Council (Edmonton Chapter). Ran is a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).

Eric Berrigan is a Financing Manager with EDC’s Mid-Market Lending team. He maintains a portfolio of Canadian customers and manages their direct lending needs both within Canada and internationally. Eric has worked for Export Development Canada for almost 15 years, across the country and in a number of underwriting roles, and he thrives on identifying the unique needs of his customers and the stories behind each business EDC supports.

Larry Yu is a Senior Financing Manager with EDC’s Mid-Market Lending team. He manages a portfolio of Canadian customers across industries supporting their direct lending needs.   Larry joined Export Development Canada 1.5 years ago, previously he has 20 years of corporate banking experience with international banks in Toronto, Vancouver, and Hong Kong.  He has worked on various financing transactions with stakeholders in North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Raul Duque is a Senior Relationship Manager with EDC’s BC Mid Market Business Team. He brings over two decades of experience in commercial banking, trade finance, and international business development. He specializes in supporting Canadian commercial and corporate companies as they expand globally, providing tailored financing solutions for foreign acquisitions, capital expenditures, and greenfield projects. Earlier in his career, Raul held senior business development and credit roles at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). He began his international finance career in trade finance and foreign exchange, including experience as a Currency Trader in Colombia.
