Dentons will present on the state of cross border M&A in 2025. Starting with trends in deal size and volume indicated by market reports, the sector outlook in Vancouver, and emerging focus areas, the Dentons team will address some of the key legal issues that sellers and buyers are facing right now. Topics will include how to work with clients on the trade and regulatory pressures, the current market uncertainty, and differences in structuring and market expectations between Canadian and USA deals.  Dentons Canada will draw on their broad cross border experience and global market intelligence to speak to new challenges in the international M&A market.

Kimberly Burns is a partner and the M&A lead in Vancouver. She is also member of the Dentons Canada Region Board. Eric Lung, Partner and Corporate Finance and Securities Lead, Vancouver

Eric Lung is a partner and the department lead of the Corporate group in the Vancouver office. He is also the Securities and Corporate Finance lead in Vancouver. Eric's practice is focused primarily on corporate, securities and transactional matters, with a particular emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, financings and corporate reorganizations. He has assisted public and private companies in various types of transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, arrangements, public offerings, private placements and joint ventures.

In addition, Eric has comprehensive experience advising clients on a variety of securities law, corporate governance and strategic matters, as well as general corporate and commercial matters. Eric’s industry experience includes mining, cannabis, manufacturing, health care and consumer products.
